The San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District (Valley District) was formed in 1954 as a regional agency to plan a long-range water supply for the San Bernardino Valley. It imports water into its service area through participation in the State Water Project (SWP) and manages groundwater storage within its boundaries.

Inland Solar Challenge Gets Students Revved Up
More than 100 high school students throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties came together to compete in the Annual Inland Solar Challenge held at Yucaipa Regional Park on the weekend of May 20. The challenge requires high school teams to build solar powered boats and race against each other.
Valley District Wins $1 Million Grant to Develop a New Model to Predict Surface and Groundwater Flows Along the Santa Ana River
San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District has been awarded a $1 million grant from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that will enable it to develop a mathematical model for predicting surface and groundwater flows along the Santa Ana River.
