The San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District (Valley District) was formed in 1954 as a regional agency to plan a long-range water supply for the San Bernardino Valley. It imports water into its service area through participation in the State Water Project (SWP) and manages groundwater storage within its boundaries.
Valley District Wins $1 Million Grant to Develop a New Model to Predict Surface and Groundwter Flows Along the Santa Ana River
San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District has been awarded a $1 million grant from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that will enable it to develop a mathematical model for predicting surface and groundwater flows along the Santa Ana River.
Notice of Neighborhood Meeting for the Foothill Pipeline Relocation
SBVMWD will begin a seven‐month project to relocate a 45‐year‐old, 1,450‐foot section of the Foothill Pipeline near the San Manuel Casino to an undeveloped area immediately behind the Casino. Construction is expected to begin May 21 and be completed by November 30.
Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
Valley District has updated its 2011 Hazard Mitigation Plan as required by FEMA. The updated Plan has been reviewed/approved by the San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Operations, California Office of Emergency Services and FEMA.
